Hammam M. AlGhamdi

Assistant Professor

University of Jeddah

Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Jeddah, specializing in computational pathology, medical image analysis, and deep learning for healthcare. Granted a PhD's degree from the University of Warwick (UK) and a MSc's degree from Queen's University (Canada). Active in community leadership, holding advisory roles, and frequntly invited talks across academia and industry.

My academic journey has spanned three continents, from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah to Queen's University in Canada, to the University of Warwick in the UK. I believe this has shaped a perspective that values both rigorous scientific inquiry and real-world impact. I am deeply committed to making AI research accessible and relevant, not just within academia, but to clinicians, policymakers, and the broader public.

Beyond research and teaching, I serve in advisory and leadership roles across academic governance, nonprofit AI organisations, and national innovation initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
